Standon House was erected in 1982–4 by the Sedgwick Group as a kind of annexe to its larger development to the north on the Whitechapel High Street corner with Mansell Street. It is a seven-storey office block that follows its larger sibling in its architectural forms. Its clock onto Mansell Street was added around 1996 and there were car showrooms on the ground floor until after 2000.1
