Nos 37–43 Ashfield Street are four two-storey houses of around 1828–31. In two-bay fronts there are first-floor relieving arches and raised basement windows that appear to have been enlarged. Plain parapets hide butterfly roofs. First lessees were William Coltey White at Nos 37–39 in 1828 and William Pattle at Nos 41–43 in 1831.1
